Sam Nash Riggs is a landscape designer, horticulturist, and artist in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband and two children. She is the principal of Tsuga Tsuga Studio (the t is silent). She is a second-year Master of Landscape Architecture student in the College of Environment + Design at the University of Georgia. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience from Valdosta State University. Her current research is on the use of color in expressing Black identity within the built environment. Upon graduation, she plans to become a registered landscape architect and work in the public sector, focusing on urban environments.
